How we handle your information.

Who we are and what this covers

Argus Monitoring Services Pty Ltd (“Argus”, “we”) provides 24/7 transport safety monitoring. This policy explains what personal information we collect and how we handle it when you visit our website (argusmonitoring.com.au), and when you use the Argus web platform, Argus Command (our operator app) and Argus InControl (our client app).

Argus Command is used by our Risk Analysis Operators (RAOs) and supervisors. Argus InControl is used by our clients’ authorised staff. Argus is based at Unit 9, 7 The Esplanade, Mount Pleasant WA 6153, Australia.

Website and enquiries

When you request a demo or contact us through our website, we collect the details you give us: your name, company, email address, phone number, fleet size, driver safety system and any message you include.

We use these details only to respond to your request, arrange your demo and follow up about our services. Website form submissions are processed and stored by our website hosting provider. We do not sell your details or add you to marketing lists without your consent.

Information we collect on our platform

How we use it

We use personal information only to provide and protect the monitoring service:

Call recording

Calls made through the platform are recorded for quality and compliance purposes. The person being called hears an announcement before recording starts:

“This call is being recorded for quality and compliance purposes.”

Recordings are stored under the same evidence controls as event records. Calls to 000 are recorded by the emergency services, not by Argus.

Sharing, storage and security

We share event information with the client that owns the vehicle, and with that client’s nominated contacts during an escalation. We do not sell personal information.

We use trusted service providers to run the platform, including our software developer (Linden Tech), our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services), our telephony provider (Twilio) and the client’s telematics provider. Where an emergency requires it, we may share information with emergency services.

Access is limited by role, every action is recorded in a timestamped audit trail, and key event evidence is secured with chain of custody locking.

How long we keep information

We keep event records, footage and call recordings for the period agreed with each client, and then delete or de-identify them, unless we are required to keep them longer by law or for an active investigation. Website enquiries are kept only as long as needed to respond and follow up.

Your rights and contacting us

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask a question or make a complaint about how we handle it, by emailing ops@argusmonitoring.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on argusmonitoring.com.au.
